You’ve got less than a week to go, and you want to lose 10 pounds. Just how are you going to go about doing that? You’re only those ten pounds away, so it certainly seems feasible. Yet, it also is rather intimidating because if you have five days, that’s two pounds a day. You certainly need a plan, and you need to be dedicated to that plan. You take one step forward and one step backward, and you’re going to find yourself still 10 pounds short with only a day or two left to go. You really won’t be able to reach your goal by then, so it’s time to get this five day plan laid out.
It all starts with water. You are hereby instructed to drink nothing but water for the next five days. Seriously, forget about all the other dietary beverages and whatnot. If you need something different, grab at a zero calorie dietary beverage of your choice, but for the most part and if at all possible, drink only water. Maybe you’re a coffee drinker, and that’s fine. Have your morning coffee without any extras, and your boost costs you zero calories.
Just making that simple beverage change and sticking with it is going to do more than you think. You won’t be taking in the extra sugar, calories and acidity, and you will be flushing out your system. Of course, you can’t eat an entire tray of lasagna for dinner and still lose 10 pounds in five days. So what are you going to do about your food choices?
Since you’re cutting back down to water and leaving out the sugar when it comes to beverages, it only seems natural to me to recommend the Atkins Diet. Ketogenic dieting is a way to lose weight quickly for sure. But why would you choose this type of diet instead of choosing to instead eat a balanced diet? If you think you can approach a balanced diet in regular fashion and lose 10 pounds in five days, go for it! It’s possible if you lose a bunch of water weight, but it’s likely not to happen.
You don’t want to take on a fad diet that doesn’t work though either. That’s why I’m recommending the Atkins Diet because it’s tried and true if you ask me and many people I know. It’s also much closer to a balanced diet than you might think, especially as you keep going with everything. Of course, you’re wanting a quick five day diet plan, but nothing says you can’t keep going afterwards. Maybe you’ve got some big event coming up, or you’re going to see people you haven’t seen in quite some time. It’s going to be a great time, but first, you have to get ready. If you’re not familiar with the Atkins Diet, you’re going to be leaving out all the unnecessary carbs and sugars. You’re going to be eating more whole foods, and you have to make sure you’re willing to cook. That last part goes for any diet. If you’re not willing to cook, you’re going to have a difficult time making any diet work.
