Spring Break is a tradition that has long been held each year where young people go somewhere hot with no rules and parties. There are a number of destinations that have become known for their Spring Break festivities while others have been working hard to shed the image. There are still a number of top destinations that you should consider when you go on Spring Break.
Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach is one of the destinations that is looking to shed the image of being a Spring Break retreat. The city is home to Club La Vela which is the largest nightclub in the world and where most of the Spring Break action takes place. However, the city has banned drinking on the beach and is expecting this year to be much tamer than previous ones. It is possible that after this year Panama City Beach will no longer be one of the best places to go for Spring Break.
Los Angeles is a great destination for people looking for a more grown-up nightlife, beaches not connected to hotel pools and a range of other activities. Los Angeles is a quick flight for most and you are able to get these tickets fairly cheaply. There is an abundance of hotels and there are many activities which make it one of the safe and solid Spring Break destinations.
One of the up and coming Spring Break destinations is Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. While this destination does not have the same nightlife and bars that others do there is an abundance of all-inclusive research such as Occidental Grand and Barcelo Bavaro. These resorts can offer you the entire Spring Break experience without having to leave the hotel. If you do choose the leave the hotel then you will find some of the best outdoor activities in the Caribbean.
When looking at winter sports during Spring Break people will think of going to Aspen or Vail, but Colorado is up there as well. There are a number of ski resorts that you can go to which offer you a similar experience to Aspen and Vail. However, there is an increasing draw to Denver for people over 21 as there is a standout collection of breweries that you can try.
Once you are over 21 then Las Vegas is one of the Spring Break destinations that you have to try. Not only will you be able to go to the casinos in the city, you will also get some of the best parties for Spring Break. Some of America’s best pool parties are hosted in Las Vegas and there are a number of mega-clubs like XS and Marquee where you can party.
Key West, the last island in the Florida Keys is considered to be the best destination for Spring Break. Many college students opt for the drive to Key West over the flight to Mexico or the Caribbean. While the beaches are not the best the nightlife does make up for it.
